Identify a product from a label photo

Read brand, model, and serial from one rating plate in WhatsApp

This is a demonstrator. There are three ways to open the chat: Open WhatsApp on this phone, scan a QR code from a computer, or get a text with a link.

How it works

  1. Try this demonstrator by sending one photo of a product rating plate in WhatsApp.
  2. We read brand, model, and serial from that plate and reply in the chat.
  3. On this phone, tap Open WhatsApp.
  4. On a computer, scan the QR code with your phone. Getting a text with a link is a slower backup.

What happens after you open WhatsApp

  1. WhatsApp opens the start chat for the language you picked. If WhatsApp does not tell us which chat that was, replies are in English.
  2. Send one clear photo of the product label. Not a batch of photos.
  3. WhatsApp replies with what we read on that label.

Start in WhatsApp

There are three options to start. Choose a language and complete the short website check first.

Chat language

Each language opens a different WhatsApp start chat. If you ask for a text, we also remember this language on the server.

Demo consent

For this demo we only use what we need to read one product label in WhatsApp.

  • One product-label photo that you send in WhatsApp.
  • We read things like brand, model, and serial number, then reply in WhatsApp. This is a demo.
  • Your mobile number only if you ask us to send a text.
