About SUDE
Digital bridges for people, products & circular workflows
SUDE builds digital tools and offers them as software as a service, and helps organisations combine these tools into custom workflows to support their daily operations. The core functionality of these tools is bridging information gaps between the different actors across the product value chain and the products themselves.
Why are we here?
Circular processes only succeed when the right product information is available at the right moment. However, every product stream and organisation has their own specific needs and workflows. Therefore, we focus on developing smart tools and a platform that help organisations to innovate and align their physical and digital workflows.
What do we do?
We develop tools that help to identify and inspect products by deploying state of the art computer vision technologies, support product data collection and management in digital product passports, as well as real-time decision-making and the machine and operator interfaces to assist companies in improving their internal processes and customer services across the full product lifecycle.
Who is it for?
Every organisation with circular workflows in which products are handled by different people at different moments through the product lifecycle, from installation, maintenance, to take-back, reuse, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing, to recycling. Within these organisations, we support both the operators on the shop floor and managers across the different steps in circular workflows.
What makes us different?
SUDE is built on research, a passion for technology, and a drive for positive impact. The SUDE tools offered are a result of this, which are integrated into the SUDE platform, built to offer customisation to gather and manage product data, while you retain full ownership of your data.
Who is behind SUDE
The technologies presented on this website are developed through subsequent research projects funded by Flanders Make, the Flemish Agency for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (VLAIO), Vlaanderen Circulair and internal funds of the KU Leuven – University of Leuven.
This website is developed and maintained by the Life Cycle Engineering Research Group. The website and its tools are continuously being developed. More information about the research group, including its members and activities, can be found on the KU Leuven Institute for Sustainable Metals and Minerals website.
